Second Life is a wonderful community, to which we all contribute in our own way. Since I started my store in November 2010, I have been participating as a vendor in grid-wide hunts. My philosophy on making a hunt gift is to make the best possible thing that I can make – a piece that showcases my work. And to give that piece away for free, or almost free.
And yes, being in a popular hunt does bring traffic to my store, sometimes resulting in sales from people that may not have been in my store previously. But to be honest, the best part of a hunt is getting a really good creation out there, and then coming across it on my travels and explorations. And of course, the fun in the design and making of it.
Generally, after some time has elapsed after the hunt, the products are put for sale. So if you are looking for a past hunt gift, please check our in-world store and/or our webstore on the Second Life Marketplace.
